Established 1948    Patrick C. Maynard, 88, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Just Like Home in Whitesboro. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Fairview Baptist Church. Rev. Chris Moses and Rev. David Taylor officiated. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman. Pat was born May 16, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas, to Clarence Maynard and Mayme Francis Maynard. He was married to Betty Carey November 2, 1957 in Colorado City, Texas. Pat graduated from Loraine High School and served in the US Army for 2 years and was stationed in Korea. He worked and retired from the US Soil Conservation Department for 30 years. Pat enjoyed officiating for the SFOA, and ran the chains, and worked the clock at Austin College games. Pat and his wife have been members of Fairview Baptist Church in Sherman since 1965. He is survived by his wife; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Von Dean Muncrief; Lyndal and Martha Carey; Margaret Colley; and Nancy Mayo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
