Sherman - Funeral services for Jimmy Ray Marshall were held Wednesday, September 5,  at Waldo Funeral Home with Rev. Garner Simpkins of Legacy Bible Church officiating.  Burial with military honors followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.  Mr. Marshall, 80, passed away August 31 at Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center.
Jim was born December 12 , 1937 near Sandusky to W.W. and Willie Mae Johnson Marshall.  He attended Whitesboro schools and served in the US Navy where he was stationed in San Diego, the Philippines, and Australia.  On May 26, 1986 Jim married Patti Huntsman in Durant.  He worked as a mechanic at Johnson & Johnson for 35 years and enjoyed hunting, knife making, and doing leather work in his free time.  Mr. Marshall was a member of the VFW, Elks Lodge, and Grace Bible Church where he enjoyed fixing sausage biscuits for the Men's Prayer Group.
Mr. Marshall is survived by his wife; daughters, Denise Barnes and husband, Sonny, of Howe; Shelly Prewitt and husband, James, of Whitesboro; and De Marshall of Denison; step-daughter, Susie Pritchard of Sherman; step-son, David Huntsman and wife, Kim, of Sherman; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren;
.He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jody Marshall; and 5 siblings, Melvin Marshall, Sidney Marshall, Ann Phelps, Matoka Sissney and Bill Marshall.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
