 The Herald Democrat January 12, 2010 Denison - Freddie "Fred" L. Murray, 71, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010 in Denison. Memorial graveside services were held Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with military honors. Fred was born February 14, 1938 in Westminster, Texas, the son of James and Ruby Hutchins Murray. In his younger years he liked to fish and play dominoes. He retired after 23 years from the U.S. Army, serving in Korea, Germany and two tours in Vietnam. Fred always enjoyed meeting his friends at the coffee shop (Nick's), and was a generous person. He is survived by his wife, Margot Murray, of Denison; grandson, Kyle Murray of Denison; good friend, Gary Mungle, of Denison. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Frank. Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of Bratcher Funeral Home, Denison.
