Established 1948   Gayle LaBonte 3 September 1938 - 3 September 1998   Richard Clarence LaBonte, 86, of Sherman, Texas, entered into eternal life Friday, August 13, 2021 at Stone Brook Memory Care in Denison,Texas. Mr. LaBonte was born January 6, 1935 in Putnam, Connecticut, son of Philisa and Odila Lillian LaBonte. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. Richard married the love of his life, Cleta Beall. Richard was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Richard leaves behind his children, Jeannie Hull and spouse, Ross, of Colbert, Oklahoma; John LaBonte and spouse, Robbin, of Pilot Point, Texas; Jack LaBonte and spouse, Megan, of Rowlett, Texas; and James LaBonte of Dallas, Texas; 7 grandchildren: Jonathan Garcia, Michael Hull, Ashley Brown, Sarah Sinor, Erica Pendleton, Matt LaBonte, and Pagie Labonte; and 12 great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Cleta Gayle LaBonte; and his parents. Graveside services were held Tuesday morning, August 17, 2021 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with military honors in Sherman, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in his name to Stone Brook Assisted Living, Denison, Texas.
