Rev. Ed Bayless of Dallas officiated at the funeral of Mrs. J.T. Jacobs, 74, which was held Sunday, July 21, at Johnson-Moore Chapel.  Interment was in Cedarlawn Cemetery with Johnson-Moore in charge.
Mrs. Jacobs died in a local hospital Saturday, July 20, after a long illness.  Her home was at 516 E. Gandy.  She was born in Montague County, October 12, 1883, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Wright.  She married July 10, 1902, to J.T. Jacobs, a retired Katy employe.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are her husband; one son, Barney Jacobs, Denison; and one daughter, Mrs. M.J. Roberson, Dallas; a brother, D.B. Wright, Colbert; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Winchester and Mrs. Lela Wallis, both of Sandusky; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

DEATHS
Funeral services for James T. Jacobs, 90, who died Friday at Denison Manor were conducted Sunday at the Johnson-Moore chapel with Rev. Jim Logan and Gerald Blackburn officiating.  Interment was at Cedarlawn, Johnson-Moore directing.
Jacobs was born at Murfreesboro, Tennessee, September 10, 1879.  He made his home at 516 Gandy for the past 59 years.  He had been ill for 17 months.  Jacobs was married July 10, 1902 to Miss Virginia Wright, who preceded him in death July 21, 1957.  He was a retired member of the Katy force of maintenance of way and made his home at Whitesboro before coming to Denison.  He was a member of the Presbyterian church, the Masonic Lodge No. 483, St. Jo, Missouri.  
Surviving are one son, L.E. Barney, Denison; and one daughter, Mrs. M.G. Robinson, Dallas.  Also surviving is a half-brother, H.A. Bingham, Posterville, Tennessee, and one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
