Denison, Texas -- G.L. Jackson
Jr., 80, went to be with the Lord on Saturday December 26, 2015 in
Denison, Texas at his home, with his wife Frankie by his side. G.
L. was a master of many trades, and was well known by many in the
community. His education was rooted at Terrell High School.
He married Frankie Lyday August 10, 1954 in Denison Texas.
G.L
was employed by W. J. Smith for many years. Later, he was self-
employed where he used his God-given ability of carpentry. He loved to
work outside. His handywork can be seen throughout the Grayson County
area in many forms, including houses and brickwork. Jackson was
ordained as a deacon at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and held many
different offices during his stay. Jackson's love for God's Word
inspired him to share the good news with his children, grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, friends and family.

Jr. is survived by his wife, Frankie Jackson; children, Francenia
(Steve) Bryant, Gail Lusane, Louis (Sherry) Jackson, Marilyn (Ernest)
Chaney, Bruce Jackson, Stacey Franklin, Sabrina (David) Smith, Cabrina
Jackson and Gregory Jackson.
Sister
Linda (Jerry) Walton, sister-in-law Bettye Jackson, cousins William
Jackson and Patsy Brown; 30 grandchildren 55 great-grandchildren 3
great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He
was preceded in death by his father Gilford Jackson Sr., mother Gladys
Griffin, sister Effie Howard, brother Willie Jackson and grandson Andre
Jackson-Flemming.
Funeral
services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Trinity
Lighthouse Church in Denison. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial
Park.
