Established 1948   Rachel J. Jones 1941 - 2015 Walter T. Jones 1940 -
 Tom Bean - Rachel Jones lost a hard fought battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 16, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family Rachel was born Monday, March 3, 1941, daughter of David and Nona Cravens Ulmer in Muenster, Texas. Rachel met the love of her life, Thomas Jones, in 1959 and married him on October 19, 1959. Together they raised 2 children, Paul Ray Jones and Tommie Sue Jones Monks. Rachel was a very loving, caring and happy person. She was loved so much by her family and everyone who knew her. Rachel ended her working career as a cashier at Piggly Wiggly when her hands were crippled by arthiritis. Rachel was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Wanda Wilkerson; and brother, Gerald Sonny Ulmer. she is survived by her husband of 55 years; son, Paul Ray Jones and wife, Debbie, of Tom Bean; daughter, Tommie Sue Monks and husband, James, of Tom Bean; grandchildren: Lyndsey Jones of Tom Bean; Lacey Braun and husband, J.R., of Ft. Worth; Lori Weger and husband, Brian, of Aubrey; Mikala Binder, of Denton; Bradley Monks of Tom Bean; Jake Jones and wife, Kelsie, of Luella; and Mackenzie Jones of Tom Bean; great-grandchildren: Ethan Jones, Saie Hunter; Arya Hunter and Jace Jones; sisters: Norma Hazlewood and Linda Morgan and husband, Mike; brothers: Glenn Ulmer; Don Ulmer and wife, Nelda; and Jerry Ulmer and wife, Carolyn. Funeral services were held Monday morning, April 20, 2015 with Rev. Mickey Wagner officiating. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman with grandsons Bradley Monks and Jake Jones, and nephews, Marty Ulmer, Larry Ulmer, Jimmy Morgan, and Mark Morgan serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers were Rickey Ulmer and Josh Wilkerson. Services were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
