Jones 28 September 1936 - 16 April 1982 US Air Force Korea  The Herald Democrat September 19-20, 2012 Denison - Ruth Alma Jones, 99, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Monday, September 17, 2012 surrounded by loving family. Mrs. Jones was born July 14, 1913 in Ely, Texas, daughter of Wilson Harris and Annie Mae Moore Bartley. She married the love of her life, Braz "Bud" Jones on October 15, 1932. Ruth enjoyed the outdoors, especially working in the yard. She loved her family and spending time with them. Ruth was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Jones is survived by her son, Wayne Jones and wife, Martha, of Denison; daughters, Wanda Ruth Ward and husband, Eddie; Patricia Ritchie and husband, Dewayne, all of Denison; Glenda Kennedy and husband, Ronald, of Garland; and Carol Holder of Colbert, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Deven Ward and wife, Lisa; Dwayne Ward and wife, Alicia, all of Denison; Steven Kennedy and wife, Kelly, of Red Oak; Mark Kennedy and wife, Alicia, of Irving; IBrian Kennedy of Austin; Tammy Dillard and husband, Greg, of Purcell, Oklahoma; Tana Jewell and husband, Robert, of Colbert; Tommy Holder and wife, Melisa of Colbert; Michael Wright and wife, Kristi, of Denison; Marcie Cross of Sherman; Terria Williams and husband, Joe, of Frisco; Chris Jones and wife, Dannette, of Pottsboro; Robyn Kimberlin and husband, Paul and Vicki Anderson of Denison; Donna Backus and husband, Doug, of Rusk; Johnny Jones and wife, Brenda, of Melissa; David Jones of Sherman; Bill Jones and wife, Christie, of Van Alstyne; Marty Jones and wife, Merideth and Samantha Flewallen and husband, Michael of Denison; 35 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, W.H. Jones; 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, September 21, 2012 at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. David Hudgens officiating. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Deven Ward, Dwayne Ward, Mark Kennedy, Brian Kennedy, Steve Kennedy, Chris Jones, Marty Jones, Michael Wright, and Johnny Jones.
