Jackson 25 May 1937 - 5 January 2012 Tech Sergeant US Air Force Vietnam The Herald Democrat January 8, 2012 Denison - Franklin Delano Jackson, age 74, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Texoma Medical Center. Mr. Jackson was born May 25, 1937 in Kennett, Missouri, the son of Harry and Ella Cook Jackson. He married the love of his life, Martha, July 13, 1957 in Sherman, Texas. Frank retired after 20 years as a Tech Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force. He later went to work for Nabisco. Frank loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was a life member of the local VFW, American Legion and Air Force Officer Club. Frank was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 54 years; son Darryl Jackson of Denison; daughter, Donna Thompson of Denison; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister, Thelma Key and husband, Don, of Kennett, Missouri; step-brother, Leonard Nelson of Memphis, Tennessee; and half-sister, Lois Gray. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Frank Jackson; brother, Sonny Jackson and sister, Mary Stacey. Funeral services were held Monday, January 9, 2012 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Dr. Chet Haney officiating. Interment with military honors followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, Denison. Martha Lilly Jackson, 82, went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 7, 2022 at her home in Denison, Texas. Martha was born in Denison, Texas on December 31, 1939, daughter of Faye Jackson and George Jackson. Martha walked faithfully by the Lord. She attended Parkside Baptist Church in Denison, Texas, where she participated in many events and church benefits. Married for a beautiful 54 years to Franklin Delano Jackson whom gave her 3 children, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Martha loved many things in life but spending time with all her grandchildren was something that she enjoyed most. Martha was very social; she spent a lot of her time shopping at Midway Mall and playing Bingo at the VFW in Denison, Texas where she met many friends. Martha is survived by her daughter, Donna Thompson; son, Darryl Jackson; her 2 sisters, Georgie Pugh and Betty Plant; her 2 brothers, Bobby Jackson and Richard Jackson; 2 grandchildren, Marylizbeth Elms, and Jeffery Thompson; 3 great-grandchildren, Gavin Neal, Katy Neal and Joshua Dolan. Martha was preceded in death by the love of her life, Franklin Jackson; brother, Grady Jackson; and granddaughter, Christina Thompson.
