Established 1948    The Lord called one of his angels home, Ida Mae Jones, age 87, entered into eternal life Monday, December 13, 2010 at Texoma Medical Center. Mrs. Jones was born September 14, 1923 in Denison, Texas the daughter of Herman and Melissa (Porter) Savage. Ida married the love of her life, Wilmire Jones May 5, 1945 in Denison, Texas. She retired from Texoma Medical Center, where she had been a caring and compassionate nurse. Ida later worked at Eisenhower Birthplace. She loved the Lord and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Her love for her daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great- grandchildren was deep and rewarding. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Jones is survived by her beloved family, daughter, Mary Ann Tyson of Arlington, grandchildren, Cynthia Brown and husband, Dale of Wichita Falls, TX, Mary Margaret Conley of Arlington, TX, Sandra Marie Tyson of Arlington, TX, Wallace T. Tyson Jr and wife, Kristi of Ft. Worth, TX, Barbara Ann Conley and husband, Sean of Grand Prairie, TX and Joyce Linda Tyson of Arlington, TX; great-grandchildren, Christine Ervin, Amanda Annette Conley, Carrissa Tyson, Cameron Tyson, Candace Tyson and Tizie’ Irie; great-great grandchildren, Aaliyah Brown and Audrianna Ervin. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 60 years, Wilmire Jones; daughter, Wilma Ann McKnight and husband, Roy McKnight Jr and son-in-law, Wallace Tyson Sr. uneral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Stephen Mocio officiating. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. The rosary was recited at 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Deacon Gary Vogel officiating.
