Established 1948 Sherman Democrat January 11, 1955 Page 2 Long Illness Fatal To Charlie Inmon Funeral were held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in East Sherman Baptist Church for Charlie H. Inmon, 75, a retired farmer who died in his home, 606 E. King, Monday at 7:30 p.m. after an illness of three years. Rev. D.A. Nowell, pastor of Dripping Springs Baptist Church officiated. Pallbearers were W.A. Sturdy of Sherman, Oscar Lyons of Dallas, J.W. Powell of Southmayd and Don McTee, Glen Ray McTee and Herbert McTee, all of Van Alstyne. Burial was in Cedarlawn Cemetery, directed by Dannel Funeral Home. Mr. Inmon was born in Cookville, Tennessee, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Inmon. He came to Texas 66 years ago and had lived in Grayson County 41 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a Mason. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Stella Hicks Inmon of Sherman; one son, Roy Lee Inmon of Houston; three daughters, Mrs. A.C. McTee of Van Alstyne, and Mrs. J. Paul Daughtery and Mrs. Weldon T. Pruitt, both of Sherman; a sister, Mrs. Frances Parks of Pasadena; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Sherman Democrat May 17, 1961 Page 2 VAN ALSTYNE - Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Dannel Funeral Chapel, Sherman for Mrs. C. H. Inmon, 69, of Van Alstyne, who died at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday in her home after a long illness. Rev. R.M. Williams, pastor of the East Sherman Baptist Church conducted the services. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Inmon, the former Miss Stella Hicks, was born May 17, 1892 in Agnes, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hicks. She and Mr. Inmon were married May 17, 1908 in Roswell, New Mexico. In 1913 they moved to Sherman from the Shannon Community. Mrs. Inmon was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are a son, Roy L. Inmon of Houston; three daughters, Mrs. A O. McTee and Mrs. W.T. Pruitt, both of Van Alstyne, and Mrs. J.P.
