Established 1948  The Bonham Daily Favorite March 29, 1990 pg. 4 Mary Elvira Ivie, 80, of Elgin, died Wednesday, March 28, 1990 at Golden Years Nursing Home in Elgin. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, March 30, 1990 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Rev. Donald Griffith officiated and burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Mrs. Ivie was born March 30, 1909 in Atoka, Oklahoma, daughter of John Thomas Kinney and Mildred Johnson. She married Claude A. Ivie on May 18, 1929 in Denison; he preceded her in death on April 23, 1978. She was a homemaker anda member of Ravenna Methodist Church. Surviving are one son, David Ivie of Elgin; one daughter, Mary Yancey of Dallas; 2 sisters, Betty Nash of California and Tommie Coffin of Midland; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
