Established 1948  Joyce Fay Hughes, 82, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus Monday, August 22, 2016 at Beacon Hill, Denison, Texas. Mrs. Hughes was born May 6, 1934 in Bonham, Texas, daughter of Houston and Edna Northcutt Lockaby. She married the love of her life, Jessie Hughes, August 17, 1951 in Durant, Oklahoma. Joyce retired from WalMart after 26 years of service. She never met a stranger and was a caregiver for many people. Joyce loved the Lord and was a very active member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church until her health began to decline. She was a kind and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Hughes leaves behind her daughter, Deborah Barber and hudband, Michael, of Denison, Texas; son, Randall Hughes and wife, Julie, of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren, Amy Lindsey and husband, Sammy; Casey Barber; Lori Price and husband, Steve; Anilla Burk; and Nicholas McKinney; and 6 great-grandchildren; twin brother, Joy Ray Lockaby and wife, Jackie, of Garland, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
