Established 1948  Sherman Democrat December 1, 1985 pg. C9 Sherman - Graveside services for Johnnie Opal Holcomb, 76, who died Saturday morning at a local nusing home, were held Tuesday afternoon in Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Rev. David Sublett officiating. Dannel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Born July 21, 1909 in Grayson County, daughter of J.G. and Lura Mullens Holcomb, she was a lifelong county resident and attended Sherman schools. She was a member of East Sherman Baptist Church. Survivors include a brother, Charles T. Holcomb of Sherman; a sister, Stella Davis of Longview; a niece and nephew.
