Established 1948   Donis K. Henson 1935 - 2016 Ronald D. Henson 1935 - 2007  Donia Kay McBee Henson passed away on October 18, 2016 at the age of 81 from complications related to dementia. She was born May 14, 1935 in Denison, Texas, daughter of John Lemuel McBee and Dicie Ella Williams McBee. She grew up at 823 West Shepherd Street, attended Houston School and graduated Salutatorian from Denison High School in 1953 in spite of having to miss two years due to polio. She then went to Austin College on a full academic scholarship and earned a degree in accounting. In 1957 she married Ronald Douglas Henson and they shared 50 wonderful years together before his death in 2007. She was a member of Hyde Park Presbyterian Church, where she served as Elder and was a member of the choir. Mrs. Henson is survived by her daughter, Melanie Suzanne Henson Hartford and husband, Randy Steven Hartford, of Georgetown, Texas; 2 grandsons, Ryan Matthew Hartford of Durango, Colorado and Alex Steven Hartfordm, of Georgetown, Texas; and Melanie's in-laws. A private burial service was held at Cedarlawn Memorial Park where she was laid to rest alongside her beloved husband.
