Established 1948   Ruth H. Henson 29 March 1940 - 15 July 2001  Paul
Edward Henson, Sr. was born on January 15, 1938, son of Marine King and
JW Henson. Paul grew up in Sherman, Texas and was a graduate of
Fred Douglas High school. Shortly after graduation, Paul enlisted
in the United State Army, where he served his country proudly. After completing his duty in the military, Paul returned to Sherman and married the love of his life, Ms. Ruth Helen Pleasant. A product of thei love was their children, Paul Edward Henson, Jr. and Samuel Theodore Henson. Ruth and the boys preceded him in death. He was a loving husband and father. Paul loved the Lord and was committed to serving him and his church family at Grand Avenue Church of Christ. After retiring from Oscar Meyers, Paul spent the majority of his time in the company of his family. On Monday, February 15, 2016, Paul returned to the Lord. His legacy of love and commitment to family and Christ will live on in those that were closest to him. Paul is survived by his grandchildren: Paul Henson, III; Chelsea Henson-Walker and Broderick Henson; 3 great-grandchildren; all of Sherman; his sister, Patsy Maxwell of Ft. Washington, Maryland; niece Vivian Gains of San Antonio, Texas; and other relatives and friends.
