Established 1948   Funeral services for Tanner Will Harper, 19, of Sherman were held Thursday morning, December 16, 2021 in the sanctuary of Southside Baptist Church in Denison with Chuck McQueen officiating. Pallbearers were Noah Canady, Elijah Herron-Baze, Devin Jackson, Chance Pittner, Hunter Cash, Jakob Morris, Zack Richardson and honorary pallbearers were Cooper Mackay, Mitchel Statton, Jaxson Hess, and John Conrad. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Tanner died December 10, 2021. Tanner was born on June 6, 2002 in Austin, Texas. He was raised by his Mimi and Papa, Sandra and Jerry Harper and by Lauren and Jason Hess, in Grayson County. He graduated in 2020 from S&S High School. Tanner loved fishing, hunting, being at the beach, spending time with friends and family, and making money. He had recently begun his career in the oilfield working for Nabors in Pecos, Texas which he was so proud of. Tanner had a smile that was branded into anyone's mind who he met and the personality to go with it. He could make anyone laugh and was always the life of the party. He was so excited to become an uncle/big brother for the first time to Mack in March 2022. Though our sweet TanMan is gone, his memory, smile and laugh will never be forgotten . He is survived by his grandparents, Jerry & Sandra Harper; bonus parents, Jason and Lauren Hess; brothers, Mitchel Statton & Jaxson Hess; Brandi Harper; uncle and aunts. Scott & Susan Kullin; Scott and Shelly Conrad; Jason & Melanie Harper; Clint & Misti Mackay; Bennie Harper; Bobby & Belinda Bateman; grandparents, Mackay & Francis Watkins; great-grandparents; Betty Martin & Doran Baker; cousins, Jennifer Reinhard; John Conrad; Cooper & Carli Mackay; and Jessamyn Harper.
