Established 1948

Ada Harvey was born June 23, 1926 in Excelsior, West Virginia to Marion Emory Moore and Sinda Lou Hess Moore (Ramsey) and went to her heavenly home on Friday, April 12, 2013 in Sherman at the age of 86.
She married Billy Charles Harvey on September 14, 1944 in Bells, Texas. She was a homemaker and Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
Her life was her family and her domain was her home, she loved her family, especially her Grandkids and Great Grandkids which she always bragged about to anyone that would listen. Even though Ada wasn't a student of higher education it was her desire that her daughters get an education.
Ada always welcomed you into her home and you better be hungry because she would insist that you have something to eat before you could leave. (as many of you know she made the stickiest chocolate pie and the best peanut butter cakes ever.)
Ada loved to play the guitar or the piano and sing old time country and gospel songs with anyone that wanted to sing along. She faithfully played the piano for her church (Pentecostal Church of God, Sherman) for over fifty years.
Ada loved to travel with many of her trips being to the state of Michigan to visit family. Ada enjoyed collecting precious moments figurines, quilting and making personalized pillow cases to give as gifts to family members.
Ada will be greatly missed and we know because of her strong faith, she is now resting peacefully in the arms of God where there is no sickness, pain and no tears.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy, brothers Ralph, Emmitt, and Billy Ramsey, sisters Ellen Finney and Sarah Wilkerson.
She is survived by her daughters: Nancy Roberts and husband, Jerry, of Sherman; Linda Roberts and husband Dwain of Denison; Thelma Williams and husband Jerry of Sherman; and Peggy Wooten and husband Randy of Sherman; grandsons Jerry Roberts, Jr. and wife Terry of Waxahachie; Darren Roberts and wife Tessa of McKinney; Marcus Roberts and wife Karen of San Antonio; Steven Roberts and wife Angela of Howe; Billy Roberts and wife Ana of Howe; Greg Roberts and wife Sharon of Whitesboro; Bryan Crisp of Buda, Texas; Christopher Wooten and wife Jodi of Murphy; and Brandon Wooten and wife Carrie of Sadler; granddaughters Julie Thomas and husband Terry of Van Alstyne; and Kim Miller and husband Chris of Sherman; great-grandchildren Timothy (Brianna), Amy (Josh), Kevin, Hannah, Gracie, Vance, Gabriel, Sarah, Isaiah, Noah, Lindi, J.J., Liv, Caleb, Jaelin, Leighton, Ashley, Chelsey, Billy, Nick, Sofia, Latosha, Trevor, Bailey, Harley, Brody, Barrett and Brielle; sister-in-law and friend Catherine Ramsey.
