Established 1948 Funeral
services are being arranged for Mrs. Lillie Mae Haning, 47-year-old
Denison woman who died from burns received from exploding gasoline at
her home, 1530 W. Hull Monday afternoon. Mrs. Haning was pouring
gasoline into the carburetor of the family car, as her son, Robert
Haning, tried to start the motor. She died in the hospital where
she had been taken by her son-in-law, Homer Summerhill. Mrs. Haning was born in Fannin County, May 19, 1902, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Parker. She was educated in Sulphur Springs and was married in Denison to Robert L. Haning, August 23, 1921. She was a member of Harless Chapel Methodist church and Royal Neighbors of America. She is survived by her husband; 2 sons, Orville and Robert of Denison; a daughter, Mrs. Homer Summerhill of Denison; a brother, Oscar Parker of Ardmore, Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Esther Naud of Tulsa and 9 half-brothers and 3 half-sisters.
