Established 1948   The Herald Democrat August 23, 2010 SHERMAN - Funeral services for Katherine (Bobbie) Huntsman were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 in the West Sherman Baptist Church. Rev. Danny Wood of West Sherman Baptist Church and Rev. Jerry Davis of First Baptist Church in Collinsville officiated with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Burial was at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Huntsman passed away Saturday, August 21 at the Sherman Healthcare Center. She was 80 years old. Katherine was born March 27, 1930, in Achile, Oklahoma to the late Logan and Stella (Raines) Chelf. She attended Sherman schools. She married Hubert Huntsman on Dececember 12, 1957 in Sherman. Mrs. Huntsman worked for Texas Instruments for 23 years and later at Walmart for 10 years. She also enjoyed babysitting. Katherine was a member of West Sherman Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Hubert (Slim) Huntsman; sons, David Ray Hall and wife Ginger of Sherman; Joe Richard Hall and wife Katie of Arlington, Tennessee; and Jacky Huntsman and wife Lori of Sherman; daughters, Donna Williams and husband Steve of Sherman; and Lisa Malone and husband Mark of Whitesboro; two sisters, Dorotha Davis and husband Roger of Sherman; and Dollie Huntsman of Sherman; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, four sisters, and one granddaughter, Laurie Carpenter. Memorials may be made to West Sherman Baptist Church Building Fund, 1830 W.
