Established 1948   Steve Green Courtesy of Cedar Lawn Memorial Park  The Herald Democrat April 20, 2010 DENISON - Funeral services for Steve Owen Green, 39, of Denison were held Monday afternoon, April 19, 2010, at Waples Methodist Church. Rev. Mike Nichols officiated and burial was at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements were under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. He died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at his residence. Mr. Green was born December 1, 1970, in Union City, Tennessee, son of James E. and D'Ellen Banner Green. He attended Denison and Pottsboro schools. He worked as a cook at Burger King in Sherman and was a member of Waples Methodist Church. Surviving are his father, James E. Green of Denison; grandmother, Ruth Green of Denison; sister, Ava Skipworth of Dallas; nephew, Devon Skipworth of Dallas; aunts, Nina Green of Denison and Marsha Banner of Springtown; uncle, Wayne Green of Herndon, Va.; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, D'Ellen; and grandparents, Frank and Dolores Banner and Jesse Green. The family suggests memorials to Waples Methodist Church, 830 W. Main Street, Denison, TX 75020 or the Denison ISD Education Foundation, 1201 S. Rusk Ave., Denison, Texas 75020.
