Established 1948   Denison - Funeral for James H. "Pappy" Garner, 85, who died Saturday in a local hospital, were held Monday afternoon in the Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Rev. James Rogers officiated. Garner was born October 27, 1902, in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Dowell Garner. He married Lelia McCollum June 28, 1924, in Paris, Texas. He retired from Pillsbury after 22 years in 1967 and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Johnny Garner of Denison; 4 daughters, Doris E. Wright of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Edna E. Salyer of Lexington, Oklahoma; Jimmie B. Yelton of Denison; and Robbie Jo Nichols of Liberty Hill; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
