- John Preston Goldston, 59, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2002
at Wilson N. Jones in Sherman, Texas.
Mr. Goldston was born on September 20, 1943 to parents John and Bonnie Goldston in Russell, Texas. He graduated high school and was wed to Sandra Earnhart. Mr. Goldston was a Frito Lay salesman, and was a member of Parkside Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Goldston was survived by his wife, Sandra Goldston of Sherman, Texas; and two sons - Greg Goldston of Nutley, New Jersey; and Donovan Goldston of Sherman, Texas as well as three daughters - Judy Johnson of Erath, Louisiana; Jackie Comeauxand of Earth; Louisiana and Angie McWhiter Baker of Garland, Texas. He was also survived by his sister - Alice Levicchi of New York; and three brothers - Charlie Goldston, Ronnie Goldston and Dickie Goldston, all of Oklahoma; and very special nieces; and nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents - John A. and Bonnie Goldston; and son - John Jr. Goldston; and his sister - Nelda Gilley. Rev. Bob Dean lead the services on Friday, December 20, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bratcher Chapel. Following the services, she was laid to rest at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Graveside services were provided by Honor Guard Post 3916 Durant, Oklahoma. Pallbearers were Scottie Konkie, Charles Hunter, Gene Hobbs, Tom Winefinger, Charlie Pierce and Johnny Brown and Honorary Pallbearer was William Earnhart. The family asked that all memorials be sent to American Heart Association. Bratcher Funeral Home will be in charge of all funeral arrangements.
