Established 1948  The Denison Press Friday, October 30, 1959 pg.5 Mrs. Ross V. Gordy, 53, a resident of Denison 17 years, died suddenly Friday night at her home, 9113 W. Main. Mrs. Gordy was the widow of a Katy railroad conductor who died last December 16. She was born in Rochester, Minnesota on March 8, 1906. Mrs. Gordy was a graduate of Rochester University and the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Julius J. Reiter. She was married October 12, 1932. Surviving are a brother, Clarence J. Reiter of Los Angeles; and a sister, Mrs. M.R. Jewell of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Grace Lutheran church with Rev. Walter W. Snyder officiating. Interment was at Cedarlawn, Johnson-Moore directing.
