Established 1948   Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Lillie Mae Grissom slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus, Sunday, November 25, 2018 at The Terrace in Denison. Mrs. Grissom was born May 29, 1940 in Bonham, Texas, daughter of Harve and Mary Turpin Allgood. She married William Fitch, who passed away in 1968. Lillie later married Jim Grissom. She was a caregiver; she touched the lives of many people with her smile, generosity and deepe sense of compassion. Lillie loved horses,singing, traveling, cooking, sitting in the sun, and any kind of candy, especially chocolate. The great joys of her life were her family, dear friends, and her faith. She loved the Lord and was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. Although her passing leaves a void in all of our lives, she will live on forever in our hearts. Mrs. Grissom leaves behind her beloved family - daughters, Donna Pack and husband, Alvin, of Denison; Sandy Smith of Grapevine, Texas; Mary Thomas and husband, Billy, of Pottsboro, Texas; and Jan Fitch of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lola McMatt and husband, Bill, of Hico, Texas; and Jaime Stover of Irving, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Marie Doyle. Graveside services were held Thursday afternoon, November 29, 2018 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Keith Taylor officiating.
