Established 1948 The Herald Democrat October 24, 2013 Sherman - Jonathan Cameron Farrer, 25, formerly of Sherman, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 in Lancaster, Texas, from injuried sustained in a motorcycle accident. Funeral services were held Friday morning at Grayson Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Webster officiating. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park immediately after the service. Mr. Farrer was born March 15, 1988 in Lewisville, son of Melissa Lory-Gaffney and Jared Brockington. Adopted as an infant by Don and Ruby Farrer, he was raised in Grayson County. He attended schools in Sherman and Howe and graduated from S&S Consolidated High School in 2006. Jonathan had a special love for all things mechanical and could troubleshoot, disassemble and repair nearly any motor or machine. It had been a life-long dream to learn to fly airplanes, likely as much for the chance to work on a new type of mechanical marvel, as to enjoy the skies. Left to celebrate Jonathan's life in memories are his parents; twin brother, Anthony Farrer of Florida; sister, Alicia Farrer of Flagstaff, Arizona; 2 half-brothers, Tristan and Suttun Lory; birth mother, Melissa Lory-Gaffney, of The Colony, Texas; birth father, Jared Brockington of Louisiana; maternal grandparents, Ellen and Dick Cassidy of Addison, Texas; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
