Established 1948 Marvin S. Ford 1919 - 2001 Olive E. Ford 1918 - 2006 Herald Democrat Wednesday, March 14, 2001 Denison - Graveside services for Marvin S. Ford, 81- year-old resident was held Thursday morning, March 15, 2001 at the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum. He died Sunday, March 11, 2001 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, Texas. Rev. Raymond England officiated. Mr. Ford was born May 1, 1919 in Roswell, New Mexico, son of Scott Eaves and Beulah Brooks Ford. He married Olive Bradley Stroud on June 27, 1949 in Pasadena, California. Mr. Ford was a florist and a carpenter's superintendent. He was also an evangelist with a nondenominational, charismatic/independent church. He also had his own nonprofit corporation known as the United Christian Fellowship. Mr. Ford served in the National Guard. Surviving are his wife of Denison; two daughters, LaNelle [sic] Shores of Tucson, Arizona and Ann E. Taylor of Denison; sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Clark (Alleen) of Tucson, Arizona; Mrs. Eric Hansen (Amelia) of Ft. Worth, Texas; Mrs. Bert Moore (Georgia) of Waco; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Mr. Ford was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. F.W. Stolte (Lou). Arrangements were under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. He and his first wife, Geralean "Gerry" Johnson were divorced in 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He married Olive E. Bradley in 1949 in Los Angeles, California.
