Established 1948    Sherman - Funeral services for Micheal Anthony Faulks were held Monday, August 13, 2018 in the Chapel on the Hill at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Rev, Steve Rice officiated. Mr. Faulks, 68, passed away Wednesday, August 8 at Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center. Mike was born December 4, 1949 in San Angelo, Texas to George and Nadine Crawford Faulks. On December 17, 1970, Mike and Ruth Peterson were married in Plainview, Texas. Mike served in the US Army from 1969 - 1973 including service time in Vietnam. Following his military service, he worked as a truck driver and retired from TXDOT in 2015. In his free time, Mr. Faulks enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, repairing cars and tinkering in his shop. Mike is survived by his wife of Sherman; son, Shane Faulks and wife, Kristy, of Tyler; daughter, Beckie Green of Sherman; John Sims, whom he considered a son, and his wife, Christina, of Sherman; five grandchildren, Jamison and Shayna Green; and Emma, Ava and Lana Faulks; two brothers, Weldon Faulks and Randy Faulks, both of Sulphur Springs; and one sister, Anita Kernell of Lubbock.
