Lloyd Eugene Epperson went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in Sherman, Texas.  He was born in Paris, Lamar County, Texas, son of Bennie Lloyd  and Irene Runyan Epperson.
Lloyd retired from the United States Army. He served in the United States Air Force from 1958-1970 and served with the Army from 1971 until he retired in 1985.  He was recalled to active duty in 1991 during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
He was a member of Dorchester Baptist Church in Dorchester, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Elida R. Epperson; sons, Michael and wife, Kim; and Charles and Stephen Epperson; brother, Larry Epperson; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Dorchester Baptist Church on Tuesday morning, December 28, 2021.  Interment will follow  at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas.  Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home - - - Waldo Funeral Home
