Established 1948 Artie B. Eppler 1921 - 1989 Melvin C. Eppler 1918 - 2008 Denison - M.C. Eppler, 90 year old Denison resident, passed away Monday, December 8, 2008 at Texoma Medical Center. Services were held Thursday afternoon, December 11, 2008 at Bratcher Funeral Chapel in Denison with Pastor James deMelo officiating. Pallearers were Clint Eppler, Scott Eppler, Lee Eppler, Chip Matthews, Clay Eppler, Ron Eppler, and Josh Eppler. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Mr. Eppler was born March 5, 1918 in Chatfield, son of Thomas Melvin and Mary Magdeline Eppler. He married Artie B. Eddington on August 19, 1918 in Navarro County. He was a member of Covenant Church Texoma in Sherman. He was an engineer by trade and engineered the construction of the PIllsbury building in Denison. He retired as an engineer for Cole Smithen Construction in Denison. Mr. Eppler loved fishing and camping. He loved the Lord and going to church. Surviving are his sons, Louis Gene Eppler of Denison; Tommy C. Eppler and wife, Betty, of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Wicky Lynn Eppler and wife, Jan, of Mesquite; Mike Eppler and wife, Cathy, of Denison; and Burley Matthews and wife, Margie, of Denison; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents; brother, Marlin Eppler; and sisters, Lila Marie Terrier, Vivan Huggins and Lillian Spurrier.
