Established 1948 Norma Ann Embry 28 September 1941 - Teddy Joe Embry 11 February 1940 - 19 January 2013 The Herald Democrat January 23, 2013 Denison - Teddy Joe Embry, 72, of Denison, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas. Mr. Embry was born February 11, 1940 in Hagerman, Texas, son of Theodore A. Embry and Vera Dee Bentley. He was married To Norma Ann Gibson on July 13, 1961 in Denison, Texas, who survives him. Mr. Embry was in construction work and owned Embry Roofing Co. for many years. He worked for Langford Roofing and Magnafab until he became ill. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing and hunting, working on his motorcycle and truck, gardening and listening to Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and other country music, watching old TV shows and westerns. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, taking his grandkids fishing and on trips. He was a lifetime resident of this area. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 children, Michael Embry and wife, Brenda, of Hendrix, Oklahoma; Debra Ann Fuller of Denison; and Ricky Joe Embry of Denison; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Winnett and husband, Jeremy; Christy Hawks and husband, Bobby; Michael Embry, Jr. and Charlene; Michelle Gowen and husband, Justin; and Danny Fuller. His 8 great-grandchildren are Sarah, Will, and Chase Winnett; Trevor Unclebach; Dylan Nathan, Kierra and Logan Hawks. he has 3 sisters and 2 brothers, Norma Sue Armstrong of Denison; Kathy Beck and Danny of Denison; Jeanie Delmonte and Barry, of California; Ronnie Embry and Judy, of Denison; and Robert Embry and Leta of Tom Bean, Texas. He also has Aunt Nancy Durham and husband, Glen; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Preceding Mr. Embry were his parents; and one brother, Duane Newsom. Pallbears were Michael Embry. Ricky Embry, Michael Embry, Jr., Danny Fuller, Charlie Newsom, and Mark Gibbons. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the American Funeral Services chapel with Bro. Kerry King, minister of the Tom Bean Chruch of Christ, officiating. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. American Funeral Service had charge of all arrangements.
