Established 1948   Denison - Funeral services to celebrate the life of Karen Edwards, 46, of Denison were held Monday morning, October 29, 2012 in Victory Life Church in Sherman. Pastors Terry Brown and Jeff Davis officiated. Karen was laid to rest in Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Nick Baker, Robert Boolos, Tom Nix, Sean Kellum, John Riggs and David Edwards serving as casket bearers. Karen was born December 12, 1966 in Houston, Texas, daughter of Gayle Johnson and Melba Martin Johnson and departed this life Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Denison, Texas. Karen grew up in Iowa and lived in Grayson County for the last 10 years. She married Chris Edwards on her birthday in 2008 at Las Vegas. Karen worked as a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. She enjoyed hunting, camping, riding horses and motorcycles and loved spending time with all her family. Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Johnson.
