Established 1948   Veston Derebery, Sr. 1932 - 2022 Shirley V. Derebery 1935 - 2018  wed 29 January 1951  Veston Derebery, Sr. was born April 9, 1932 in Bells, Texas, son of Hallie and Thomas Derebery. His siblings were Odessa, Frank, and Leslie Derebery. After finishing school, he eventually headed to West Texas and worked the oil fields, and there he met his true love, Shirley. She preceded him in death. Veston was a father to Veston L. Derebery, Jr., Brenda Engholm, and Becky Derebery. He and Shirley were also grandparents to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After leaving the oil fields, they moved to Denison, Texas. He continued his education to become an electrician, owning his own business and heading up the Electric Company of Johns Manville in Denison. After retiring from JM, he continued to be involved in the electric business in some fashion. Funeral service for Mr. Derebery were held Tuesday morning, September 6, 2022 at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roger Speers officiating.
