Established 1948   The Herald Democrat April 19, 2010 Services for Mildred Madeline Dent, 88, formerly of Sherman were held Wednesday morning, April 21 at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Welton Stoker of Parkview Church of Christ officiatee. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Dent passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 in Liberal, Kansas. She was born July 8, 1921 in Canton. She married George W. Dent in 1940 at Murchison. George preceded her death in 2001. They lived in Sherman for more than 60 years. Mildred worked for the Heritage Country Manor Nursing Home for more than 20 years. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and when she was able, she accompanied her son in his preaching appointments. She is survived by her son, Richard W. Dent and daughter-in-law, Sharon Dent, of Liberal, Kansas; 3 grandchildren: Heather Gould and husband, Ron, of Forney; Holly McCarter and husband, Troy, of Liberal, Kansas; and Ryan Dent and wife, Ashleigh, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mildred was blessed with 7 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a donation to "In Search of the Lord's Way", P.O. Box 371, Edmond, Oklahoma 73083 or The Old Landmarks Hour, P.O.
