Denison - Willa Mae Davis, 90, of Denison, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at her home.  Arrangements were under the direction of Bratcher Funeral Home.  Services were held Monday morning, December 23, 2013 at the Methodist Church in Denison with Rev. Roy Spore officiating.  Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.  Pallbearers were Felix Munson, Jr., Brent Eubank, Travis Munson, Mark Eubank, Felix Munson, and Mike Perdue.  Honorary pallbearers were Brandy Jeffery, Lou Richards, and Ray Thompson.
Willa Mae was born May 19, 1923, daughter of R.L. and Fern K. Kious in Sterling, Colorado where she attended school and received her Associate's Degree.  She moved to Chicago for a number of years and later moved to Denison where she met her husband, L.T. "Doc" Davis and they were married in 1955.
Willa Mae loved her church and had been active there for many years.  She loved doing community work and served on several boards, including Keep Denison Beautiful and Denison Service League.  She was also a member of the Garden Club, Thursday Review, Monodrama, Camp Sandy Point, and several bridge groups.  She had played bridge with some of the ladies for over 40 years.  Willa Mae will be remembered among her friends for always doing for others, offering kind words of encouragement and always having a hot meal prepared for her family and anyone else who happened to drop by.  She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and her legacy is passed down to her daughters and granddaughters.
Surviving are her daughters, Lori Munson and husband, Felix; Cathy Eubanak and husband, Mark; step-son, Tommy Davis and wife, Sherry; grandchildren, Felix Munson, Jr. and wife, Lisa; Regina Munson; Travus Munson; Melanie Eubank Jeffrey and husband, Bandy; Brent Eubank and finacee, Katie Sparkman; Emily Davis Brown and husband, Robert; great-grandchildren, Thomas and Madelyn Munson; Ansley Mae Jeffrey; Julie Ann, Thomas and Turner Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Waples United Methodist Church, 830 W. Main St., Denison, Texas and Grayson Home Hospice, 505 W. Center Street, Sherman.
