Davis, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at
The Terrace in Denison. Born February 7, 1921, son of L. Mark and
Emma Margaret Hand Davis, Harold grew up on a farm close to Cheyenne,
Oklahoma, graduating from Cheyenne High School. Marrying the love of his life, Kattie Lee Drake, on June 27, 1942 in Cheyenne, they shareda 63 year union. Harold was a World War II veteran. He owned Harold Davis Construction Company in Dallas, Texas for 31 years when retiring. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Denison. Harold was a very loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Davis is survived by his only child, a beloved daughter; one granddaughter and one grandson; 2 great-granddaughters, all of Denison; 4 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, Vernon Davis; and sisters, Letha Moxley and Zola Clements. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, July 15, 2014 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Dr. Roy Spore officiating. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Pallbearers were Richard Kenneth Berry, Marty Simmons, Wade Simmons, Todd Christopher Rumsey, Spence Redwine and Thomas Kirkpatrick. Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
