Established 1948 The Herald Democrat July 25 - 26, 2008 Denison - Emma Mae Lemons Davis, 69-year-old Denison resident, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Texoma Medical Center. Services were held Saturday afternoon in the Carrie White Chapel at Angelic Mortuary in Sherman. Officiating was Rev. Earl Oglesbee, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Denison. Pallbearers were nephews and friends. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Mrs. Davis was born on July 11, 1939 in Denison, daughter of Claude Lemons and Elner Lemons Linley. She graduated from Terrell High School and Grayson County College with a LVN in nursing. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Denison and the BPW (Business and Professional Women's Club). She was preceded in death by her son, Barry Lemons; and sister, Sheryl Ann Linley. Surviving are her sons, Kerry Lemons (CeeCee) of Denison and Albert John Lemons of Denison; daughters, Tracey Wilson (Wilbert) of Atlanta, Georgia; and Lisa Calden (Karl) of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; sisters, Connie Lemons and Claudesta Roberts (Benjamin), both of Denison; Willie Mae Calhoun (Leon) of Gainesville; Zoetta Williford of Denison; 19 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
