Established 1948   Colbert, Oklahoma - Services for Allie E. Davis, 93, of Colbert were held Saturday morning, November 30, 2013 at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Denison, Texas. Rev. C.E. Evans, pastor, officiated and burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Allie passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at the Edwards Redemer Nursing Home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born June 19, 1920 in Bryan County, Oklahoma to Brit and Alaphare Hildreth Love. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree from Savannah State College in Georgia and a Master of Teaching from Southeastern State University in Durant, Oklahoma. She retired after 33 years of teaching. She is survived by her brother, Pastor Burl Love and wife, Beverly; grandson, Steven Mitchell; niece, Donetta Starks; her dearest cousin, Nancy Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services were under the personal direction of James E. Smith and Scoggins Funeral Home, Howe, Texas.
