Established 1948   Charles G. Dalton 1916 - 2002 Betty E. Dalton 1916 - 2009  SHERMAN - Funeral services for Betty E. Dalton was Saturday afternoon, December 5 at Waldo Funeral Home. Welton Stoker of the Parkview Church of Christ officiated. Entombment was in the Chapel on The Hill at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Dalton passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009 in Dallas at the age of 93. Betty was born on May 26, 1916 in Sherman to the late Harry and Lilly (Porter) Orr. She attended Sherman schools and married Charles Dalton on October 18, 1946 at the Walnut Street Church of Christ. Betty was a devoted homemaker. She and Charles were married nearly 56 years when he passed away on Sept. 18, 2002. She was a longtime member of the Parkview Church of Christ. Mrs. Dalton is survived by her son, Don Dalton and his wife Karen of Dallas; 2 grandchildren, Joshua Dalton and wife Amy of Oklahoma City and Rachel Dalton of Grand Prairie; 2 great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Eli Dalton of Oklahoma City; sister, Ruby Kumler of Sherman; sister-in-law, Mary O'Neal of Sherman; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and one sister.
