Established 1948   The Herald Democrat May 30, 2010 SHERMAN - Barbara Ann Dickerson, 66, went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 28, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Dickerson was born December 18, 1943 in Denison, the daughter of Walter and Dorothy (Lorance) Earnhart. Barbara married the love of her life, James Dickerson on August 22, 1970 in Denison at Southside Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and was a Sunday school teacher for more than 40 years. Barbara was a loving wife and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Dickerson is survived by her loving family - husband, James Dickerson of Sherman; brother, Michael Earnhart of Denison; sister, Patricia Green of Denison; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Taylor officiating. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made in her name to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund at 1131 S. Scullin, Denison, TexasX 75020 Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 W. Main in Denison.
