Friday, April 7, 1950 pg.8 Funeral services for S/Sgt. Jack Derrell whose death took place in St. Avoid, France, March 18, 1946, were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Thursday afternoon with Rev. Ed Bayless officiating. Re-burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park Sgt. Derrell was born in Greenville, December 31, 1908, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Derrell. He was educated in Lone Oak and Emory, Texas. He is survived by 2 sons, Jack Derrell of Ft. Sheridan, Illinois, and Donald Derrell of Lone Oak.
