Established 1948   Lera Ruthell Carter, 93, of Denison slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus Friday, January 21, 2020, at The Terrace in Denison. Mrs. Carter was born December 10, 1926 in Hillsboro, Texas, daughter of William and Lillie Brown Jennings. She married the love of her life, Henry Carter. Lera loved her family dearly and enjoyed cooking and spending time with them. Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughter, Linda Anglin, of Denison, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and extended family. Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon, February 4, 2020 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
