Established 1948    Star-Telegram March 11, 2008 Ronald Curtis, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 9, 2008. Funeral servics were held Wednesday afternoon at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Ft. Worth. Graveside service was Wednesday afternoon in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Ronald was born June 8, 1928, in Denison. He honorably served his country at the Bikini Atoll atomic bomb testing site. He married Culista Hembree on June 5, 1948. He retired from General Dynamics after 37 years of service. His favorite activity was to drive the church bus on missionary trips to Mexico. He loved gospel music and his church family. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Culista Curtis; daughter, Kathy Sapp and husband, Max; son, Keith Curtis and wife, Carol; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and brother, Everett Curtis.
