Established 1948   Herald Democrat July 11, 2010 Nellie Curry Chaplinsky, 85, of Sherman died Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Texoma Medical Center. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, July 12, 2010, at Dannel Funeral Home, with interment following in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Christopher Gripp officiated. Mrs. Chaplinsky was born on June 5, 1925, in Tolu, Kentucky, daughter of Al and Josephine Privett Clark. She married Hershel G. Curry in 1942 and he preceded her in death. She married Mitchell Chaplinsky in 1991 and he also preceded her in death. Nellie had four children. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Steve Curry. She is survived by her daughter, Margie Shores and husband, Billy; sons, Alvey Curry and wife Joanna; and Willard Curry and wife Mary; 9 grandchildren; Steven Curry, Justin Curry, Jason Curry, Melissa Holmes, Brian Shores, Billy Shores, Trena Brooks, David Fletcher and Michelle Fletcher and 8 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers wereill be Steven Curry, Justin Curry, Brian Shores, Cody Shores, Justin Shores, Bruce Brooks III, Jake Brooks and Jeremy Holmes.
