Established 1948 Mollie M. Crockett 1910 - 1996 James E. Crockett 1 899 - 1972 Sherman - Services for Mollie Mae Stover Crockett, 85, of Sherman, who died early Friday morning at Sherman Nursing Center, were held Monday afternoon, October 14, 1996 at Dannel Chapel. Rev. Jack Crockett, Mrs. Crockett's grandson of Whitesboro, officiated. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements were under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Mrs. Crockett was born November 14, 1910 in Purcell, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Jacob Stover and Melinda Burkhart Stover. She attended school in Oklahoma. In 1929 in Pocasset, Oklahoma, she married James Elbert Crockett. He preceded her in death. She moved to Sherman in 1948 from Collin County. For many years, Mrs. Crockett was employed in the health care service as a nurse's aide. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Surviving are 3 sons, Cecil Crockett and wife, Louise; Fred M. Crockett and wife, Glenda; and James Elbert Crockett and wife, Linda, all of Sherman; 9 grandchildren: Kenneth Crockett; Steven Crockett; Tanya Crockett Pitts; Karen Crockett Matlock; Roger Crockett; Karla Crockett; Jack Crockett; Linda Crockett; and Peggy Crockett Bow; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim Stover and Fred Stover of Texarkana, Texas; J. Roy Stover of Germany; sisters Belle Smith and Helen Mitts of Oklahoma; Emily Bures and Betty Jean Irwin of Washington. Pallbearers were grandsons, Roger Crockett, Edward Matlock, Tim Pitts and Rodney Bow.
