Established 1948 Jenny Darlene Culpepper, 75, entered the eternal kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in Sherman, Texas. Mrs. Culpepper was born December 21, 1946 in Whitesboro, Texas, daughter of Roy and Ruth Bridges Melton and was the youngest of 12 children. Jenny graduated from Whitesboro High School. On December 19, 1992 Jenny married Jerry Culpepper and was a loving mother and committed wife until Jerry's death in June 2021. They both could be found at Nick's Family Restaurant in Denison 3-4 days a week. Everyone at Nick's Restaurant was like family. Jenny worked for Texas Instruments for a few years, then Culpepper Plumbing and Air Conditioning until her death. She was devout member of Waples Memorial United Methodist Church in Denison. Most of her time and talents were spent caring for the young children of the church, spending every Sunday for over 25 years in the nursery, touching the lives of countless numbers of babies and pre-K kids. Jenny will continue to be known throughout the community for her loving heart and generosity to numerous local and national charities. She loved to travel and experience all kinds of new opportunities with her family. The family trips to Branson, Missouri were a Memorial Weekend tradition for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Leann Culpepper Ramsey and husband, Michael, of Denison; grandson, Evan and wife, DC Ramsey, of Denison; granddaughter, Alexandra and husband, Corey Thompson; and her children, Sienna and Oliver. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who she dearly loved. The funeral service for Mrs. Culpepper was held Tuesday morning, January 25, 2022 at Waples Memorial United Methodist Church in Denison. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
