September 24, 1991 Denison - Mabel Earlyne Christman, 58, of Rt. 4 Denison, died Monday in Colbert. Graveside service were held Wednesday afternoon at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, with Dr. Dennis Hochgraber officiating. Johnson-Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Christman was born February 5, 1933, in Hendrix, Oklahoma, daughter of Cecil Darl and Mabel Francis Hannah Carruth. A Denison High School graduate, she married Billy Wayne Christman May 27, 1951, in Denison. Mrs. Christman, a retired telephone operator from Southwestern Bell, was a member of Colbert Baptist Church and Telephone Company Pioneers. Surviving are her husband; mother of Denison; son, Teddy of Platter; daughter, Brenda Lovell of Denison; brother, Cecil Van Carruth of Denison; sister, Anita Barnhil of Paola, Kansas; and three grandchildren. Herald Democrat Friday, January 2, 2004 Denison - Billy W. Christman, 74, passed away January 1, 2004, at his home. A graveside service, officiated by Rev. Bob Stevens, was held January 3, 2004 at the Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Christman was born April 11, 1929, in Wichita Falls, Texas, son of Edd and Irene Hull Christman. On May 29, 1951, he married Earlyne Carruth in Denison. She preceded him in death in September 1991. Mr. Christman was a Baptist, an agent for Zero and ATA Truck Lines, and retired from Safeway Brookside Division in Denison. He was a veteran of the National Guard. Surviving are his son, Teddy Christman of Euless, Texa;, daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jim Lovell of Denison; brother, Edd Christman of Cartwright, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Candice Mattlock, Gary Christman, and Kayla Hampton. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter Amanda Minchew on December 7, 2002. Memorials may be made to the Grayson County Home Hospice, 505 West Center, Sherman, Texas, 75090.
