Established 1948    Bobby Jinks Carter 9 June 1928 - 17 November 2000 PFC US Army Korea  Sherman - Funeral services for Iris Dean Carter, 84, of Sherman were held Monday morning, November 19, 2018 at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Roy Webster officiated and burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Cemetery in Sherman. She passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in Sherman. Iris was born on September 22, 1934 in Honey Grove, Texas to Thomas Guy Wilson and Ruby Lee Bells Wilson. She married Bobby J. Carter. She was a dedicated homemaker often working outside the home to help her family. She loved spending time and taking care of her family. She is survived by her 7 children - Bobbie Dean Carter of Sherman; Kenneth Carter and wife, Lorie, of Arlington; Sheila Lowe of Sherman; Evelyn Stevens of Gordonville; Tweedie Cabe of Southmayd; Patricia Banks and husband, Dan, of Sherman; and Hubert Carter of Sherman; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Wilson, 3 sisters, Peggy Stanley, Carol Gaither, and Shirley Hewitt. Iris was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, J.B.
