Established 1948 Roy Vernon Copeland 9 April 1932 - 26 September 1952 Texas Sergeant 3rd Tank Battalion Marine Division Herald Democrat July 9, 2010 ALLEN - Odenita Reed Copeland, 69-year-old Allen resident, passed away June 24, 2010 at her home. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman with Bro. Earl Oglesbee officiating. Mrs. Copeland was born on July 16, 1940 in Durant, Okla. She married Grover Cleveland Copeland Jr. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her own and to so many more that loved her dearly. Surviving are her son, Jackson Reed Copeland of Bellingham, Wash.; daughter, LaTonda Jill Hall of Eustace; son, Carroll Crown Copeland of Allen; son, Foster Darrell Copeland of Allen; sister, Donna Hayes of West Monroe, La.; half brother, Monroe Reed of Alexandria, La.; half sister, Mary Capps of Alexandria, La.; half brother, David Reed of West Palm Beach, Fla.; seven grandkids and six great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her sister, Margene Lee of Denison; and husband, Cleve Copeland of Allen. A gathering will be held at the home of her niece, Cynthia Royster in Denison after the services.
