Established 1948    Denison - Funeral was Monday morning in the Johnson-Moore Funeral Home chapel for Wayne Bruce, 80, of Denison, who died Thursday, August 27, 1992, at Texoma Medical Center. Rev. Keith Taylor officiated and Masonic graveside rites followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. He was born July 23, 1912, son of Kelly J. and Adeline Bruce in Denison. He married Anna Lois Bryan on October 6, 1934 in Bonham. Bruce attended Denison schools and Southeaster Oklahoma State University. He was a licensed land surveyor, a Grayson County commissioner from Precinct 2 for 12 years, and was also with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of Lone Star Masonic Lodge NO. 403, AF&AM, and a past board member for Demolay. Survivors include his wife; sons, Jerry W. of Denison and Danny L. of Dallas; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charles Ingram, Jerry Hatfield, Ray Kidd, Frank Darnell, Clark Garner, Horace Groff, Bill Winfree, John Gay and Gene McDaniel.
